I don't even think it was a micro wave cart. It was getting a little wobbly. I have just bought a new microwave and didn't want in collapsing on me, so I saw this cart advertised on Amazon. It's GREAT! It took me about an hour to assemble, but now that it's up, I'm real happy with it. The four shelves give me more storage, and the drawer at the bottom is an added benefit. The only thing I don't like is the shelf above the drawer doesn't lock in. It can be pushed through. I didn't catch anything in the instructions about making in "push proof". But other then that, I'm glad I bought it. The power strip is an added goodie too. I give this cart 5 stars.
